Hello!
I’m Benedetta, an Italian illustrator based in Paris.
After spending almost ten years working in sustainable energy policy, I took a leap and turned my lifelong passion for illustration into my profession. As a self-taught artist, I’ve built a personal universe of tenderness and irony, allowing me to work internationally in editorial illustration, branding, and children’s books. My clients include Anorak Magazine, the BPIE, and the Flying Carpet Children’s Festival.
I have a deep love for vintage hand-printed aesthetics and limited color palettes, which shape the way I compose color-blocked illustrations.
In 2023, I won the Inkygoodness Editorial Illustration Challenge (Art Directors Award), a recognition that encouraged me to refine my visual language toward conceptual editorial illustration. I’m also a member of the AOI (Association of Illustrators), where I actively engage with the professional illustration community.
In 2025, I was selected by The New York Times for their annual portfolio review, out of 3,500 applicants.
